Hardware¶

Requirements¶

Low voltage and consumption: Less than 20W
Small device: Mini-ITX or Nano-ITX
No moving parts: Fanless and without any moving device
Intel architecture: x86 to be compatible with other hardware
No hard drive: No magnetic hard drive. We must have the OS in a CompactFlash or internal memory
Good CPU performance: At least 1Ghz. Dual core if possible
Memory: At least 1GB of memory to virtualize
MiniPCI extensions: Most wi-fi radios are using this socket.
